Welcome to Kat's Cast. Sit back and enjoy. Hey everybody, welcome back to another episode of Cats Cast.
SPEAKER_02Alright, just a lot of uh just a lot of uh working on stuff.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. We've we've been we've been move I mean we've been moving in silence. I don't think I've been actually moving in that much silence as uh if everyone has seen on my social medias. If not, we will post this on the same day we post a podcast. Shout out NovaCats on a live stream.
SPEAKER_02Hell yeah. I think, and I was telling Kevin um that I think that it was actually if anybody knows like the David Dobrik community, uh he used to have this guy named Jonah on there, and I think it was like Jonah's brother that you like randomly ran into or something. I think don't I don't quote me on that, but I think that's who it was.
SPEAKER_01So for people who don't know, I was in LA last week working, or was it last week or two weeks ago, whatever it was, working as KamopKev camera operating.
SPEAKER_02Taking my job, dude.
SPEAKER_01Take yeah, you know, and I had also sat there and um got a shout-out. Apparently, I was killing it. We'll throw that in there. I have my two clips of my fun time, so shout out. I got a hip hip hooray from the letter carrier union who I was filming. Um it was a good time, and then since I was in LA, I went and decided to check out the beach because I was like, that I can say I've been from sea to shining sea in the United States. Okay, all right, corny ass. That's literally why I did it. It's actually like and also because that means this summer I've touched both oceans. I just see the Atlantic and the Pacific. I've been from C to exciting she.
SPEAKER_02Say that one more time. What did you say?
SPEAKER_01That means that 2026, your boy KB has been from C to Shining C.
SPEAKER_02That's dope though.
SPEAKER_01But LA sucks. It does suck. I got my credit card stolen twice. Uh the same card, once just the number, and once it the physical thing. So shout out LA.
SPEAKER_02But you it's you are like so uh like it's I'm unlucky, yeah. Yeah, it's you always have something happen to you. Yeah, it's unbelievable the luck that you have.
SPEAKER_01Well, one one they always say is I'm an incredibly unlucky guy, however, I am also lucky that there's never any actual lasting damage. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Your thumb.
SPEAKER_01Well, I can still move it.
SPEAKER_02Sure, but you got to get stitches. Um you had to get stitches in your head, I think, at one point. Maybe. Didn't you like or was that your thumb as well? Was that the other thumb then? Other thumb.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, no, and index finger. Oh, okay. So a lot of lot of hand injuries, a lot of hand injuries, but no, uh for people who so for for the story of how I got my card stolen twice and why I have said, and I will say again, uh, LA deserves the fires, is that's crazy. That's actually crazy, it is God trying to cleanse the earth. Um, but I'm dead. Actually dead. Cancelled anyway. Uh I for first job I had to run to Home Depot to get a screwdriver so I could have because we need the repair something in one of the cameras. I need like a super small screwdriver, hit on the lime scooter. I head down to I head down to Home Depot, you know, it's nice as early in the morning, a lot of guys ready to go to work. Um I inside is literally three three minute in and out, bam, get back to the LA convention center where we were filming. Fucking I had like two charges on my card. So I had like, you know, the eight dollar charge from Home Depot. And then I had a fucking someone tried 45 bucks and then 50 bucks. I was like, what the fuck? So I immediately canceled the card. I got called my bank. Hey, someone someone stole my number. Nightmare. Nightmare, right? Whatever. I'm in LA. I'm down a debit card because they're like, okay, we'll ship you a new one to your house. I'm like, oh fuck. This is my business debit. Whatever, fuck that. I'll leave it in the room. I put it in the safe, but I didn't like lock the safe. I just closed the door. So I was like, I don't want to forget that's in the safe. And also, it's a dead card. I'm gonna I'll throw it. I have a shredder at home, I'll shred it at home. Uh, my toilet floods. I don't know if I told you this.
SPEAKER_02No, your toilet flood in the hotel room.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so we're in a five-star hotel.
SPEAKER_02How big did you take, my guy? Holy shit, dude.
SPEAKER_01I didn't take. I sat there and I walked in. So he slept the first night. Now's when my card's stolen. I wake up on Tuesday morning. Call time is like 7 a.m. Which our time here is actually, it's actually was pretty nice. I actually felt pretty rested. It's actually like 11.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're three hours behind.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's three hours behind. It's great. I walk, I'm gonna do a quick shower. It's like five in the morning, and it's splish, splish, splish, splish. Like, what the fuck? And turn the light on, it's fucking like you know, half an inch of sitting water all in this nice ass bathroom. Did I leave the shower on or something? Like I like I was tripping. Shower's off. Uh I I take towels down, I clean it all up, and I was like, all right, I'll just have housekeeping come in, they'll take the dirty towels, whatever. I go to work, I come back, more water. I'm like, okay, something's wrong. I call maintenance. They come and they're like, we'll come in tomorrow, we'll fix it. So I fucking just they'll come in tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02Well, it was like 11 p.m. Yeah, but like what if it was fucking like leaking down below you?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I'm on floor seven. That's they got six people at that's that's a lee. Okay, yeah. Fucking so next day I go to work, everything's fine, I come back, toilet's fixed, great. And then my bank, when I cancel, they're like, oh, by the way, like, since it's debit, you had to wait for the people who stole money from me to for the for it to process. Sure. Right? So that you can be like, oh, I am now losing money. Oh like, oh, it's been two days. Those fraudulent charges have processed. Let me call them. Let me call the number on the back of the card. I open the safe, card's gone. So I have to call the front desk. Hey, I'm just gonna shoot in the dark. Someone stole my debit card out of my room, and then I had security come in. I had to put the fucking thing in the door to see who's come in and out. And again, I've had maintenance, I've had housekeeping in twice. I'm not blaming nobody. However, you're blaming somebody. I never have housekeeping usually come when I'm in a hotel. I always live in my squalor. Oh, same. That's but this is the exact reason because this is why some people just aren't uh trustworthy. Or, you know, I I always sit there, I'm like, listen, it's very hard when you have uh the temptation. The temptation of there's this a card, there's this a card sitting on it. You know, I mean the temptation is real for a lot of people, and who knows whoever took it, why. But security, and I'd also explain like, well, is the card like having any charges? Well, no, I don't have any charges because I already canceled the card, it's a whole thing, and then I had to explain to like well, I'm only reporting it because the guy didn't whoever did this didn't know the card didn't work, and also because the safe is in the closet.
SPEAKER_02So like they intentionally went into it. It's not like they were cleaning the safe and like it like yeah, you like you have to go.
SPEAKER_01You have to go and they were looking for something. Exactly. Uh so then I was obviously the last day that I had rooms, or uh I had uh they gave me $200 room like room credit. However, for the last uh fun manner of events is that I didn't book this room, and the person who hired me didn't book this room, it was the the union booked the room and basically the whatever credit I didn't have a Marriage Bonvoyage Marriott Bonvoyage account, whatever. Yeah, I don't have that shit. Sure. So they're like, oh, yeah, spend 200 bucks now. It's like it, or it'll go back to the car that bought the room. I'm like, well, I'm not gonna get this is my issue.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna give Yeah, like the union, like the no offense.
SPEAKER_01I love the union, but I'm not gonna No, yeah. They didn't get their debit card stolen, I got it stolen. So I then had like two days to spend $200. So I was just buying random, I was getting room service, I was getting fucking I was just buying shit at like I was just charging up to the room. I got a Waymo down to I asked the concierge to order me a Waymo. And uh was it was it did you ever feel unsafe in one of those? No, it took me uh what they're not they're not allowed, at least when I was in, wasn't allowed to drive on the highway. So oh that's good, but still making turns. I went to the what's the big beach with the Santa Monica? I went yeah, I went to Santa Monica Pier because I was like, that's where I was like, I want to go touch the water there. Did you ride the roller coaster there?
SPEAKER_02No, why don't I when I was out there there was a roller coaster there? No, no, yeah, no no. When I was when I was out there, I don't know, in the early 2000s with my family, uh me and my brother went on like that ride, and and uh did you ever watch Evan Stevens growing up? No. Okay, there was a character called like Beans on like the show, and he was getting off that roller coaster, and people like these like these kids in line were like screaming at him, and he like turned around and hit like the peace sign and everything. Um he really fell off. If you look up a photo of him now, it's like he yikes, but anyways, continue. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01There was a kid pretending to be Michael Jackson and was singing Michael Jackson songs, and there was a dad, I guess like Michael Jackson's dad forcing him to do it. And you boys are so silly. Uh the I was gonna eat a papa gum or the force gump bubba gump shrimp, bubba gump shrimp, but then I looked up that it's not even owned by it's no one. Yeah, you know what I mean. Like I was gonna say, oh, is it like is it owned by uh like either Universal or you know what I mean? Like, is this like no? There's some fucking guy. Yeah, license fuck off. I'm not gonna give some guy who just licensed the name. Go fuck yourself.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, I might have been a tourist, but I'm not I don't know if there's actually meanwhile, by the way, since the NALC, I got that shout out because I was busting my hump. I was running all over the place filming for them. I was like a micro celebrity myself. I was down there at the pier, and people like you're Kevin the camera guy, right? From they're all these letter carriers that are down there. So it was fun. I got to have a little and then right after that I was on a live stream. So you know, wow, Kevin, you're really feeling yourself that I was actually kind of I was I was feeling pretty good, and then also on in the airport too. I got many people who were like, Hey, you're the camera guy for uh yeah, you know, so I got the I got to see what it was like to be, I would say, a solid D-lister for today for a week. I was a D-lister.
SPEAKER_02Well, maybe we'll hire you and put you in the next film. Your rate should be cheap enough.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh, I don't know. You have to talk to my agent.
SPEAKER_02Right, okay. I'll go through your agent.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, it was it was nice to be a D- List celebrity. Yeah, that's all I'm gonna say, you know? Yeah, I can see how it goes to people's head. But you know, I stay humble.
SPEAKER_02Gotta stay humble.
SPEAKER_01As it'd be more like, oh yeah, I went to his head.
SPEAKER_02Dude. Kevin's like, give me more of it. Give me more.
SPEAKER_01Give me more. Um, no, I mean it was it was it was fun. I I I drank of come some of the guys in the at the hotel, like the the peep the letter carriers, because yeah, it's a bunch of the for people who didn't know when I keep on saying NALC and letter carriers, it's the so USPS isn't a government entity, it is a private organization. Did you know that?
SPEAKER_02No, so wait.
SPEAKER_01It is the only legal monopoly in the United States.
SPEAKER_02But wait, then then but it's but aren't the USPS workers federal workers?
SPEAKER_01They are not.
SPEAKER_02Wait, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_01That's the whole they are their own union. NALC is the union that covers them. There's three unions that cover USPS. So you the government has a postmaster general, right? Yeah and they work in tandem with USPS. They work with management, and then USPS are the workers, and there's also the clerks, and there's the forgetting the third union, but I know there's three unions. So basically, there's the ones I work for are the guys that you get to see. They literally they they always talk about how they're the ones that you they get the most people, some people the only person they see in a day is their mailman. And so the person that puts the mail in your mailbox is who I was working for. These are all the delegates, the representatives from all the unions, from everywhere from Guam to every 50 state plus DC plus Puerto Rico. They all send their delegates up, and this is where they voted and elected who their next council and um who's gonna run for president and vice president and da da da. And then I think the third union is actually rural letter carriers. So like this is all technically city. Okay, so and then, like, for instance, the people who are out there with the cows is a different group. Okay, you know what I mean? Like, I think it's like they have different issues.
SPEAKER_00Sure.
SPEAKER_01So it's like you can't sit there and be like, you can't pass a rule, be like, hey, everyone, you have to walk you have to walk in between these three houses, and then you have this dude, Earl, who's in the middle of Nebraska, and his three houses are on fifty acres of land. You know, shout out Earl, dude. He began to step soon. But um I love working for them. Um and it's uh it's a good time, man. And basically, there's they passed a bunch of amendments to the constitution and fucking we filmed it all. Like that was it was just a ton of ton of ton of filming, a ton of them debating things and voting stuff and yes or nays, and us running around because this place, there's 5,500 of them, the delegates, and they're in a place that was like four football fields wide and like five long, five to six long, and then you know they were all sitting in chairs and they had these podiums, and then we ran from podium to podium because they were like, go up and hit a button, and the podium would flash, and then we were gonna speak to number one under privilege, and it's like my name's Daryl, and I'm from Colonial Beach Branch 492. Daryl, and I live on Daryl Street, uh run that shit back. See what I mean? So, and then they would say, like, oh, we would like to put a motion that letter carriers should I'm gonna make one up. We all get free insoles and free brook shoes, and then someone else would have to second it, and then they vote on it. And if he goes, Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We film all that shit. Me and my buddy Caleb, Caleb Davis. Shout out Caleb. Caleb. Um, but yeah, it was fun. I was tired. I think a five-hour flight is kind of max for me. I don't think I can do much longer than that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, it's dreadful to sit on an airplane.
SPEAKER_01You know, I'm gonna fly you know you, you know, your boy gets in the back of the plane.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. You need that you need that first class surgery.
SPEAKER_01I actively choose back back. Why? I like back.
SPEAKER_02You want to sit next to the toilet back there?
SPEAKER_01Kinda, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_01Well, no, because listen, most people pick that last. And especially when I used to be riding south southwest, when you when they before they like you had to pick your seats, then I would be go, I would go straight beeline to the back. I'd pay to upgrade to be one of the first boarding groups, beeline to the back, and I'd sit in the middle of the back row. Because then you know no one wants to sit next to me. And then when someone starts to like head down, they're coming, I then move over to the window, they take the aisle. Especially if I get two, if I get another big boy to come down with me, you know what I mean? Like, there's one time, dude. There's this one guy I saw him, I saw him, I said, Hey, I went up to him, I said, Hey, this is what we're gonna do. I'm going to this row, I'm gonna send the window, you're gonna send the aisle. And he said, All right, and I said, and no one was in the middle of us. Because we were this is when I was at my biggest. I mean, this is me a hundred pounds ago. And no one sat in between. We were two like these big these big big lads. It was like Norbit, two hey listen, my man, my man was down in them drinks. He sat there and he got four jack and cokes. It was an hour flight.
SPEAKER_02This man was yeah, but a jack and coke's glass is like four sips of that, and you're done.
SPEAKER_01He was dead, he was listen, he was down in them shits because they didn't serve anyone else drinks, but he was whatever the premier Southwest of the time was. He got his drinks no matter what. So I don't know, it was a vibe, but I now fly American, so I just I still sit in the back because I'm used to sitting. It's a little bumpier.
SPEAKER_02I should make you do like the Pledge of Allegiance when you get on that flight.
SPEAKER_01We had to do Pledge of Allegiance every day for the NALC gig.
SPEAKER_02Did you really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I haven't done the Pledge of Allegiance since school.
SPEAKER_02That's what I was gonna say. Like, yeah, the last time I did it was which was I was very like, I was like, huh.
SPEAKER_01How did Pledge Allegiance flag? Um and uh, you know, and then I worked on some stuff remote when I was there. I was I was script thinking ideas, you know, for us and our next stuff, and yeah, um, because you know you're in the land of filmmaking. For sure. I mean oh if fucking LA is expensive as shit. That's what I was gonna go tear about. Two monsters, $17.
SPEAKER_02Oh, dude. L I mean it's unbelievable how expensive LA. Like I swear I was joking.
SPEAKER_01I was like, dude, it's like amusement park prices for normal life things. I got three tacos for 21 bucks. Yeah, and I got 10-piece wing and fry from a food truck, which food trucks are usually a little more expensive. Like, I'm not gonna front.
SPEAKER_02New York's not seeming so bad now, you know.
SPEAKER_01No, it ain't New York was pretty tough compared. That's what I'm saying. I also sat there and I was like, I was in it, I was talking to somebody, and this is how you know I hated LA. So, you know what? I miss New York because you know, New York, you get I get why people like it. I even said my one of my I get why someone can fall in love with New York. LA, I don't get why the fuck people like it. I honestly that's the weather.
SPEAKER_02It's the weather. It was nice, that was cool in the mornings, and but it's so spread out that you're like forced to like drive everywhere.
SPEAKER_01That that was the annoying thing. That was actually the annoying thing, is that I was like, you know what? New York, it's all cramped and it kind of sucks. But the benefit is that it's cramped and it kind of sucks. Like, you know what I mean? Like I fucking oopsie doopsie and I made my way down to Harlem, which we all joke about. But like me getting to Santa Monica, which I think miles to miles, right? Like if you think where we were in Brooklyn to Harlem, I don't know, like mileage-wise, how different that is from where I was with the convention center to Santa Monica Pier. But it was all in that Waymo bubble, so it can't be that big. You know what I mean? Like Waymo had to take back roads the whole way.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I mean, it probably was, you know.
SPEAKER_01But it took me fucking an hour to get down there.
SPEAKER_02That I don't know, dude. You might be able to get to Harlem quicker if you were to get in an Uber.
SPEAKER_01That's what I was saying. I feel like in New York I drove in New York, I remember getting out of the city took me 20 minutes. It's getting in took us a bit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, but getting out is like very efficient. They they have like getting like yeah, if you want to get out of that city, you can't.
SPEAKER_01And getting in took me an hour.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, it's the track, it's that.
SPEAKER_01Again, we got in from the jerk I we went in from Jersey or whatever was that Newark?
SPEAKER_02We went in or I mean, yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Whatever that one that's like that border city, I think is Newark. We went in from Newark and fucking it took us all the way through Chinatown.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01And then we went in that way. I went over the Brooklyn Bridge to get to Brooklyn, yeah. Uh and that took me, I don't know, 40 minutes an hour. It took me an hour to go fucking I didn't even take the 10 or whatever. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Like I did a hotel to Santa Monica.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was fucking insane.
SPEAKER_02Like Do you think it was as far though? Like from where you you get from, like let's say like the tunnel's the starting point in New York and the hotel's the end.
SPEAKER_01I think technically New York it's closer, but I think there it's still compact like miles, like by the by the bird flies, or whatever you normally say by the crowflies, but it or like when me and Caleb, because we shared an Uber, we both landed at the same time, so we shared an Uber to the hotel, and our Uber was like fucking you know sixty dollars or whatever the fuck from LAX to the hotel. We looked and the guys hopped on the express lane and It's 9 p.m. on a fucking Saturday. Traffic was backed up out of L out of LA. Like literally deadlocked, people throwing their shit in break. Which you know, LA traffic is the worst in the world.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but once again, why would you want to live there and deal with that shit?
SPEAKER_01It it is insane. Um and and then we were like, oh, how much is this express lane? I mean Kilberg, how much do you think this express lane is? It's a minimum, 200 bucks a month minimum.
SPEAKER_02So basically what is that and but they still charge you if you go above 200, they charge you per right.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit, that's and that was for a regular like Camry car. If you want like a small, lightweight car. If it's like the bigger, the more the bigger the car, if you have an SUV or whatever, it's more. The max they saw, I saw was 600 a month minimum. Dude, get the fuck out of here. So for me, for me and you, for your Durango and my little truck, it'd be 600 a month for the express lane.
SPEAKER_02Fuck that, dude. I'd be hitchhiking in LA.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I will say driving to Lime Scooters. I saw Lime Scooters be be given birth. I saw them with the truck dropping off brand new ones.
SPEAKER_02You've never seen that before?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Oh they I think the flatbed truck were brand new ones with the tags and all this stuff on it. Like they're like brand new off the factory line.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um I don't know, it was funny when I saw them. I like that there's scooters of like everywhere. That was nice. Yeah, you just hop on it. That's the one real compliment. I'm gonna say this. I don't like Tex Mex food, I don't like Hispanic food, I don't like tacos.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't like it.
SPEAKER_02What the fuck? So when when did when did this revelation happen? Because I don't fuck with it. What? Dude, okay, so when we were doing James and we got like tacos and shit, you never spoke up once that you were like, Yeah, you didn't see me eat it either, did you? I don't know, I wasn't paying attention to you.
SPEAKER_01I didn't eat a single scrap of that.
SPEAKER_02Wait, why don't you like tacos and shit? Wait, what is going on? I'm so I just don't like it. It's just meat and cheese usually. And then obviously you can add lettuce, tomato, onion, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Like I don't know. I feel like you can have meat. I I like uh what do you call the the the the sandwich that they make? It's not a papusa, it's a torta? Torta. I like a torta. I think a taco is an inefficient food. Interesting. It's inefficient. I like a salad. I'll do a taco salad. Like, there's some of those things I do like, but like I'm not into it. I think it is burrito? No.
unknownWhat the fuck?
SPEAKER_01I don't like a burrito. I don't like a burrito.
SPEAKER_02This is actually like shaking me to the core.
SPEAKER_01I hate Chipotle. I hate I mean like holy hell.
SPEAKER_02Okay, remind me not to take you to the Mexican place then.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a fan. Everyone, some of my girlfriends know this. I go there and be like, nah, I'm not gonna eat it. I I just don't like it.
SPEAKER_02But okay, we went to that Mexican place when we redid the reshoots for James. Yeah. You ate. I think you got a steak. Yeah. Oh, quesadilla. So you like a quesadilla?
SPEAKER_01They're fine. Yeah. Okay. I just I listen listen. I just didn't know this about that. Listen, I think every single Coldier's food is delicious and good in their own way. You know, I listen, I'm a fat fuck. You know, I'm gonna eat some.
SPEAKER_02Shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_01Right? Like my issue with Tex-Mex food is one, a lot of white people think it's delicious, and I feel like you just have that shit too goddamn much. I'm just not into it. That's fair. I do like like there's only one place that I found that I consistently like, and it's taco bomba. Yeah, talk about it. Even then, that shit gives me the ick sometimes. I think whatever sometimes the greases and the spices that you cook with, sometimes like it just it it it does, it hits me too hard, and like it upsets the tummy. I love like I I'll take all the sauces and everything, and I'll use like I love the spice, like I like I like the spices in it, like in the spice level wise, but I don't fuck with a lot of the cuisine, and so when you're in LA, that's like 90% of the things eat up there.
SPEAKER_02Sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, um and then everything else, there was like fucking salad places and like sweet green and stuff, which is fine. Sweet green I kind of hate with my with my core because I just have it for work too much, but you know, it's a mix of like either super healthy vegan things or we're eating tacos and shit, tacos, and it's like it's good, but like I just don't you know you can only have tacos so many days in a row before you start wanting to shoot yourself. Uh and I for me that's about for maybe most people, that's like four days in a row. For me, it's about uh one meal. So when you're there for we were there for a week, like I can have tacos once and be like, okay, I'm good, I'll need to have this for a month. Like I've I've eaten my fill of like I'm just kind of over it as a so wait, what's your go-to food then?
SPEAKER_02Like I like Mediterranean. Interesting. Okay, not too many people would say Mediterranean, I feel like like no, I know Greek. Yeah, I do.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? Like it's uh Odysseus. Um you know it's I I like Kava, I like uh Moby Dick, I like uh uh like those places, like it's also you know, the slop bucket uh formula that a lot of these restaurants go by. The what?
SPEAKER_02You never heard this? You say slot or slop? Slop. Slop bucket.
SPEAKER_01I don't think a lot of these places they uh Chipotle, Quadoba, yeah, Kava, sweet green, honey grow, it they throw a bunch of a bunch of shit in a bucket. Yeah. And they give it to you. It's a slop bucket. A lot of they're they're they're kind of tastes kind of good though. Yeah, they're good. They're slop bucket good. I mean, that's just kind of the the how a lot of these places like that's just their how they go about it. Um it and I think like kava is underrated, criminally underrated. I feel like like kava should have the clout that Chipotle has. Kava is torch. Pita sandwiches are torch, better than a burrito. It's the same kind of vibe though.
SPEAKER_02But it just depends on what you're in the mood for. Like, there's definitely times where I'm like, I want kava, and there's definitely times I'm like, I want Chipotle. No, and then there's times that I want Taco Bombo.
SPEAKER_01There's never in my life where I've been like, I where I actually like, oh, let's go. I I want a Tex Mex or one of those type of I never want. I never am the person to be like, I want that. I want I don't want Chipotle. Fuck that. There's so many better places in Chipotle. The only place that I will be like, fuck it, let's go, is Taco Bell. You know why? Because Taco.
SPEAKER_02Oh wait, Taco Bell or Taco Bamba? Because you've said Bamba's good.
SPEAKER_01Bamba is like good quality food. I'm saying Taco Bell is the one place that I'm like, you know what? Fuck it. You know what you are. I want five tacos for five bucks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, it's just bullshit.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, you fucking slop. And you're like, No, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I mean, the Taco Bell slaps. I could eat Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you can be relatively healthy there. But my that's just my issue of a lot of these places. There's so many of them, like you know, Cafe Rio, fucking Quadoba, fucking Chipotle, Uncle Julio. Like, there's so many, like, it's not into okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, then I would say if you're gonna move to a city, you gotta move to New York then, because you're not gonna really get that there. I mean, obviously, there's places there that are like that, but not as LA.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. I so that's my I was also like the food scene. I was like, oh my god, the food scene is not great. Um there's some places that were really good. I mean, but like I started eating smad smash burger. That's fine, you know what I mean? Big boy smash burger. Um I don't know. I I do American. American stuff's always safe. I my thing is when I'm especially when I'm working, I want to eat something safe, and this is also the time when it had all the all those lettuce and stuff was giving you the runs. I'm like, I'm not gonna get fucking some taco from someplace with some with some little cabbage on it, and I'm gonna shit my shit shit myself in a toilet that's already flooding. I got no cards. So I made a strategic decision.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna be looking like a homeless person on the street, just like covered in shit. No money.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't fit in with it so I was just like, fuck this. You know what I mean? Uh but yeah, shout out to New York. New York's better than LA officially.
SPEAKER_02I told you, man. Where we're gonna end this episode, guys. Thank you so much for everybody for listening. We'll catch you on the next episode of Cats Cast. Peace.
